Fun

Often my guests ask me what they can do around Sirmione.

The Garda area also offers much more than just the beaches and the lake. If you are curious people, who like to alternate the life of a bed even a few trips, here is some advice for you.

Fun parks

GARDALAND

It is the largest amusement park in Italy. There are lots of attractions with different themes including Adrenaline, Fantasy, Adventure, and for the little ones, which makes it really suitable for everyone. Inside the birth, you will also find the Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium, an aquarium with 40 tanks and over 5,000 creatures of 100 different species.

CANEVA

This is a summer park, since the attractions it offers are mostly aquatic. If you have already been to Gardaland, I assure you that it is an excellent alternative, especially for the hottest days. You will find spectacular pools, steep slides and much more, there are spaces dedicated to sunbathing: in short, fun is guaranteed!

MOVIELAND

This park is perfect for those who want to combine their passion for great movies with the adrenaline of the attractions dedicated to them. In Movieland you can immerse yourself in film sets, alongside actors and stunts, driving along Route 66, or along the paths of the jungle to discover dinosaurs.

Sigurtà Garden Park

The Sigurtà Garden Park is an ecological oasis. An immense park that hosts a very large number of species of plants and flowers. It is located in Valeggio sul Mincio. You can walk, bike, train, golf-cart or shuttle. It is equipped with several picnic areas and kiosks. Tip: comfortable shoes and have fun in the maze.

My favorite part is that of the farm.

Natura Vivia Zoo

This, I confess, is by far my favorite. The zoo, Parco Natura Viva, is home to many animals. Believe me, I love animals and zoos have always "annoyed" me, but this park has nothing to do with the zoos we are used to. Animals live in very large spaces (so much so that it is not always obvious to see them) and are cared for and kept with a love that can be perceived.

Another peculiarity is the possibility to add to the classic walking tour also the safari route, which can be visited on board your car with which you will find yourself in an area full of free animals (obviously in total safety).

My tradition is to buy, at the end of the visit, the animal puppet that I liked the most: for now I have a lemur and a red panda.

The Vittoriale

The Vittoriale degli Italiani, the house where Gabirele D'Annunzio lived, is located in Gardone Riviera, a lovely town on the Brescia coast of Lake Garda, between Salò and Toscolano Maderno, about 30 km from our beb, walkable in about 45 minutes by car. Yes, I know, I just told you that it was the house of Gabriele D'Annunzio, but to present you so the Vittoriale would be really reductive. In fact, it is a real monumental complex built in 1921, under the guidance of the architect Giancarlo Maroni.

This means that if you do not want to see the house, there is no place in the guide of the day that you have available or so on, a visit to the Vittoriale deserves to be done the same. In fact, you can visit the immense outdoor area that surrounds the house and, if it is a beautiful day, the view that offers you is really one of the best you can enjoy: every corner is a surprise.

Little curiosity: even today, in the summer, the amphitheater is home to musical events and concerts by international artists: try to keep an eye out if there is still some ticket available!
